Soak it up! Yes it’s a bad hair day/month with this humidity and heat, but the popsicle trade-off is totes worth it. Also there is the swimming! Nothing beats puddle hoppin’ on a hot day. My mom seems a little afraid to jump in, she always makes the scrunchy nose face. So you know what I do? I bring the water to her! I soak it all up and bring it right on over to her and shake, shake, shake it all around her. She always lets out a big scream of excitement. You’re welcome mom! ?
My Summer game is strong. Besides swimming and popsicle eating, we like cruising around with the wind in our hair, hanging with my DOODS and searching for fun patios in the city. If you are not aware of what a patio is let me enlighten you. A patio is a big closed in space where all the spilled and dropped food is collected. Sort of a buffet if you will. You just go around and lap it up, and no one cares! You get pets and smiles and no one blinks an eye that you just scored half their sandwich off of the floor! Amazing!
Here are some of my favorite patio buffets to visit.
1104 Crescent Avenue
They have a dog menu. I just look it over and say yes!
Weekend Brunch at The Family Dog
Saturdays and Sundays, 1402 N. Highland Ave.
Sit. Drink. Stay. Don’t mind if I do!
552 Flat Shoals Avenue
One time I scored half a salted pretzel here. A goldmine of spillage.
Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall
684 John Wesley Dobbs Ave.
You had me at Mess, and bonus for being on the Beltline!
These are just a few of my favorites. Tell me your favorites below, maybe I can meet you there sometime!
Okay now I’m officially starving. I’m off to sniff out some snacks!
